Who we are
This website is run by Studio Crestform.
You can reach us about your information through the form on our Contact page.
Using this site
You're welcome to browse the site and share links to it. Please ask us before you reuse anything from it.
The work shown here
The design work on this site belongs to us or to the clients we made it for. Client names and logos belong to their owners.
Partners and project collaborators
If you were a partner on a project shown on this site, or were engaged on it in any capacity, you need our written approval before you use any of its work. This covers images, drawings, renders, documents and copy, wherever you plan to use them, including your own website, social media, proposals, tenders and award entries.
The following rules apply:
- Send your request in writing, by email to your project contact or through the form on our Contact page.
- Name the project, the material you want to use, and where and how you plan to use it.
- Don't use the material until you have our approval in writing.
- Approval covers only the use described in your request, and can't be passed on to anyone else.
- Credit the work to Studio Crestform wherever it appears.
We may withdraw approval if these terms aren't followed.
Accuracy
We keep this site as accurate as we can, but we can't promise everything on it is complete or up to date.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using this site or relying on it.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and our clients' own sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them, and once you're there, their own privacy policies apply.
What we collect
We receive two kinds of information: what you choose to send us, and the standard request data that reaches any website.
When you send an enquiry
Our contact form asks for:
- Your name
- Your company's name, if you tell us
- When the work is due, if you tell us
- An email address or a phone number, so we can reply
- The services you're interested in: Brand, Website, Documents, Social media, Tools, Not sure yet, or "I'd like to join the team"
- A message, if you'd like to add one
The form also has a hidden field that catches spam bots. It's never shown to people, so you won't see it or fill it in. When you send the form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending it, not a bot. It looks at signals from your browser and the request. You won't usually see it, but sometimes it asks for a click. Cloudflare uses this only to tell people from bots.
When you visit the site
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Like any host, it processes standard request data to run and secure the site:
- Your IP address
- Your browser and device type
- The pages you request
- The time of each request
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see how fast pages load. It doesn't use cookies or store anything in your browser, and it doesn't follow you to other sites.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry
- Send you a receipt, if you gave an email address
- Run and secure the site, through Cloudflare
- Show the weather line on the thank-you screen (see section 05)
We don't use the details you send through the form for anything else.
How your enquiry reaches us
Nothing you send is stored in a database on this website. The form sends email instead.
To our inbox
Your enquiry is sent as an email to our studio inbox through Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Exchange Online). If you gave an email address, it's set as the reply-to address, so our answer comes straight back to you.
Your receipt
If you gave an email address, you'll get a short receipt email. It has fixed wording and lists the services you picked. It never includes your message.
The weather line
After you send an enquiry, the thank-you screen may show a short line about the weather near you. Here's how it works:
- Cloudflare's own lookup of your request gives an approximate city and its coordinates.
- We round the coordinates to two decimal places (about a kilometre) and send only those to MET Norway's public weather service, to get the current sky.
- Nothing you typed into the form is sent.

Services we use
These services help us run the site and answer you:
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website, and gives the approximate location for the weather line.
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) delivers your enquiry to our inbox. It's kept there, on Microsoft's servers.
- Cloudflare passes your enquiry on to Microsoft without storing it. To stop the form being used to email someone again and again, it keeps a scrambled code made from your email address (not the address itself) for one hour. It also keeps short logs of requests and errors for a few days.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and measures page speed, without cookies.
- MET Norway receives only rounded coordinates, and sends back the current sky.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only as long as we need it to answer you and to meet our legal obligations. Then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information
Send us a note through the form on our Contact page and tell us what you'd like us to do.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information or these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
